Like most creative processes, the love of creating is unique to us all.

 

Since early 2024, music has really helped me process and explore many emotions positively that one can only sometimes undertake at a certain stage in their life and ready to understand their experience. 

 

When composing or song writing, I normally start by developing a  draft instrumental composition. When ready at a demo stage, I’ll share and listen to it from a journey perspective to see if it has scope for vocals so another version can then start to be developed. 
 

The vocal stage will then encapsulate writing lyrics and a dedicated top line melody for the lyrics if the song supports it.​The end result is normally two versions of one works which include a vocal mix and an instrumental mix.

 

The vocal mix may contain different instrumentation and melody simply as the vocal melodies sit in the same room as instrumental melody but may cover different notes and key ranges that the instrumental melody does not reach or scale. The instrumental demo mix and the vocal mix are then edited, mixed again and mastered to "final" versioning for release.

When writing, I will always look to create a musical journey alongside appropriate sounds, and sometimes share thoughts on the songs meaning to literally help myself unpack the songs context for artistic performance and processing. The comprehensive dialogue goes into the session hub for performance per track and overview of the song is shared in the track page for site visitors.
 

Music has always been in my life as my sibling but more importantly, it’s there to help myself and others in our own unique way. In my experience and like most creative processes, it’s a unique place our minds can visit to help us see and feel things through another lens to help us see them more clearly.

I have always encouraged my children to explore their creative side and I also share that message to anyone who hasn’t to date explored their creative side. In my experience, all forms of creativity can help us in their own unique way if the ambition is within.

I naturally write from my heart to help express and manage my emotions and thoughts, and do hope that any music that is shared can help you on your journey.
